Bob Kem

Anniversary of an Ordination

January 27, 2016 by Pastor Nathan

Greetings!

Facebook tells me that this week was the two-year anniversary of my ordination. Thanks for your support over these past two years as we have journeyed together with baptisms, with funerals, with births, deaths, illnesses, unemployment, new jobs, new hope, with communion, with sermons, with our identity, with books, with Bibles, with music, with Christian education curriculum, with new websites, and all the ways we show our love for God and one another in the world.

As I prepare to head off to lunch with the Ankeny Ministerial Association, I am reminded that our partner in ministry and missions at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, Father Bob Kem, will be retiring this Sunday after 30 years in ordained ministry. I’m planning to drop by at their reception from 5-7 on Sunday, and invite any of you, especially those who have worked with us at VBS or on our joint youth group, to join us.

Blessings,
Nathan
