Why do we read scripture in worship? Sometimes, it's about the absurdity of thinking we have control over the world, and to be reminded that the hope that may seem absurd isn't. Especially this week, when control in Baton Rouge, Minneapolis, and Dallas was shown to be so illusory, and hope seems so absurd.
