The history of the nativity is long, and the questions about its meaning began with the two versions of the story we get in Matthew and Luke (today and tomorrow). As we interpret these questions about who Jesus was, and what his birth meant for our lives, let us never forget one thing: it was a broken world Jesus came into, and yet he came anyway.
