The Bible doesn't speak for itself. As long ago as in Exodus, we see the interpretation of God's word. And then in Hebrews, we see an interpretation of the sermon Moses gives in Exodus 32. Together, in worship every week, we also interact with the word through the sermon. Sermons, always spoken, exist only in the time and space between the preacher and the listener, in context. So together, we begin the conversation about God's word in modern life.
