In John's account of the miracle of the loaves and fishes, where five loaves and two fish feed an assembly of five thousand people, it is a small boy who provides the initial offering. In that, there is a lesson that sometimes large, intractable problems should be viewed through the lens of a child, stripping away Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt, and creepy cynicism to remind us of our first principles.

On this morning, we dedicated an offering of food from our pantries and gardens to the Des Moines Area Religious Council's Ankeny Food Pantry.
