Lighting the Darkness
Jesus's birth always reminds us that in darkness, in places we don't think matter, in the shadows cast by the bright lights to which we are all drawn, there is always a need for illumination. Whether it was Jesus, called in those same fields as David, or the vigilant work of people fighting racism and reminding us that there are people working in Ankeny with unaffordable housing and no transportation, the light is the light of all people.
