In the prayer Jesus teaches us, we ask that God provide "our daily bread." What is that? How can we know? When we are giving to others, it makes us feel good. By asking what we need to give, we go from feeling good because we are giving to an object of our charity to feeling good because we are in relationship with one of God's beloved children.
