In a world where government policies are being enacted to encourage fear of outsiders and immigrants, we are reminded that we have always had strangers in our midst, whose very difference caused fear and misunderstanding. But Jesus challenges us to see the whole world as our neighbors, and work to end suffering in front of us, sure that in his resurrection, we may release ourselves from fear and live into love.
